Rosetta “Rosie” O. Pattison, age 88 of Bellingham passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010. She was born on October 30, 1921 in American Lake, WA to Clemens John and Ruey Hilda (Searles) Braune. As a child, Rosie lived in several locations in California and Oregon, and her family eventually settled here in Washington. She attended Harmony School and Mount Baker High School prior to graduating from Bellingham High School in 1940. 
 
As a young woman, Rosie worked at St. Joseph Hospital and then at Hillview Creamery. She married her greatest love and soul mate, Donald Delbert Pattison on February 23, 1943. Rosie worked as a clerk/ manager at Whatcom Falls Grocery, Geneva Grocery and Kute Kids Clothes.
 
Rosie loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting trips with Don, and fishing and camping with her friends and grandchildren. She and Don enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting and refinishing antiques. They also made trips to Hawaii and South Carolina.
 
After her husband passed away in July of 1985, Rosie stayed busy with family and friends. She visited her daughter, Lorrie and family in South Carolina and traveled with them to see many historical places including Washington D.C., Jamestown, Charleston, Disney World, and Epcot.
 
Rosie made several RV trips with her daughter, Ann and her son-in-law, seeing the Alamo, Niagara Falls, Plymouth Rock, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and the Everglades. She also took an Alaskan cruise with her family and an RV trip to Alaska with her nephew and niece.
 
In her later years, Rosie was an active member of the Everson Senior Center and an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners.
 
In addition to her parents and her husband, Rosie was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Braune; and her sister, Ruby Louella Messer. She is survived by her daughters, Lorrie Austin and Ann (Ken) Collins; brother, Clemens (Marilyn) Brown; sister, Josephine (Lynn) Reinholt; granddaughters, Sheri (Troy) Slosser, Robin Seggerman, and Heather (Keith) Miller; and great-grandchildren, Megan and Evan Slosser, and Anthony and Allison Miller.
 
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30th at 1:00 PM at Moles-Greenacres Funeral Home.
