George William Reilly III went gently into the night on Monday, July 19, 2010.
He was born March 4, 1943 in Bellingham, WA. George graduated from Ferndale High School and continued on to BVTI for a degree in Auto Mechanics. He worked for Dewey Griffin for 18 years, then moved on to Aura Motors in Fairbanks, AK. Then back to his hometown to work at Hinton Chevrolet and Jerry Chambers. He then went to work in construction for The Skeers Construction family, where he enjoyed learning heavy equipment and building skill that allowed him to build his own home.

He was an active member in the WA Sheriffs Posse for 15 years and served 3 years as president. He also was the Grandstand Director of the Northwest Washington Fair for 17 years. He loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding, camping and had a general love for the outdoors. Later in life, he enjoyed building his home, landscaping with ponds, waterfalls, and many beautiful flowers.
He was the kind of man where your word and a handshake was better than any piece of paper that could be written up. He was a loving caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

George was preceded in death by his sisters Virginia Weisenburger & Francescia Reilly; and his granddaughter Sarah George.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Reilly; his children Shaun Reilly, Kily George, Rocky Reilly, John Riddle, Tim Reilly, Michael Hatch & Taanya Reilly; grandchildren Ronald & Jack George, Geordan & Jazzmyn Thompson, Matthew, Trisha, Timothy Jr, Connar, Levi & Nathaniel Reilly; his siblings Michael Reilly, Pat Reilly, Stephanie Curtiss, Joe Reilly, and Lisa Reilly; brother-in-law Jim Weisenburger; numerous nieces & nephews; and close friends Dick Hamilton, Kim Carson and Gary Johnson. George will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Moles Bayview Funeral Home in Bellingham from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 22nd. Please join us for a graveside service at Friday, July 23rd at 3:00 PM at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale.
