Eric A. Howell, age 55, of Ferndale, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010. Eric was born on November 18, 1954, in Athens, Greece, to Robert and Bruna (Reschiglian) Howell. He was raised in Italy, Germany, and all over the United States. Eric served in the US Navy. He loved the water, riding his motorcycle, spending time with Brit working on cars, playing slow-pitch with his in-laws and wife, and watching car racing. Eric was proud of his daughter’s going back to college.  He loved getting up with the sun and going fishing, even if Sally made him throw the fish back. Eric is preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Robin Casey. He is survived his wife, Sally; son, Brit; daughter, Erica; sister, Lisa Watts; step-daughters Katrina (Richie) Foster and Jennifer (Peter) Hughes; in-laws, Guy and Kathy Hawes; cousins, Roger and Shari Draper; nephew, Alex (Jessica) Watts, brothers-in-law, Rick Hawes and John (Jennifer) Hawes; nephew Jake; nieces, Mackenzie, Chelsea, Anna, and Bridgette; best bud, Rod Larson; and his loyal companion, Bosley.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, at 2:00 PM at Enterprise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice 800 E. Chestnut, Suite 1-A, Bellingham, WA 98225.
