Doris Medisky

Doris Medisky, of Mount Vernon, Washington, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. She was 80 years old.

 

Doris was born on July 17, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Rudy and Hulda Johnson.

 

While Doris was in 11^th grade, her family moved to Concrete, WA, where they owned Johnsons Restaurant for many years. Doris stayed in the Skagit Valley area to be close to her children.

 

Doris adored her dog Sadie, cooking and entertaining for her family and many friends, and going to the casinos.

 

Doris was preceded in death by her infant son, parents, and sister Florence Wallace.

 

Doris will be greatly missed by her loving children: Elaine (Neil) Sullivan of Mount Vernon, Christy (Darrel) Johnson of Burlington, and Steven Comstock of Burlington. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

 

The family is thankful for all the close friends at The Vintage who spent so much time with Doris.

 

A Celebration of Doris’s Life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 17, 2010 at The Vintage, 1000 Vintage Lane, Mount Vernon.
