Leonard Rude was called home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2010.
Leonard was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County, born on January 14, 1932 in Everson Washington.
He spent his young life working and living on the Focht family farm in Everson. When he retired he moved to Ferndale, where he enjoyed going to church, and attending anything community related.
He was also a member of the Ferndale Community Center for many years. Besides his family his main interests were sports. He loved all the Washington teams, but his all time favorite was the Seattle Mariners. He never missed a game.
Leonard is survived by sisters; Eula Wright of Tanasket, WA, Frances Ripple of Ferndale, WA, and Annabelle Tuell of Haw River NC; as well as many nephews and nieces.
 
The family would like to thank Alderwood Park Convalescent Center for the wonderful care Leonard received during the last year of his life. 
 
A viewing will be held from 3 to 7 PM on Thurs., June 24, at Moles Greenacres Funeral Home, 5700 Northwest Dr.
A graveside service will be held on Fri., June 25, at 2 PM at Moles Greenacres Memorial Park, with a memorial luncheon afterward.
